Spring Cleaning

When houses were heated all winter long, with coal or with wood, and when food was cooked thrice daily on a cast-iron wood-burning cook stove, household textiles got mighty smoky and dirty. Spring Cleaning was an imperative chore. Beautiful handmade quilts- doubtless put to good use during the long and cold winter, sway in the breeze, while mom plants the newly tilled vegetable garden, the sheep enjoy their first taste of green summer grass, and the water fowl swim in the newly thawed pond.

SPRING CLEANING, 10"x12", edition of 600, $50.00 plus $6.00 shipping
