The Fourth of July Things haven't changed all that must since July 4th, 1876, the year this picture could have been painted. A parade with a marching band, a clown, a red-white-and-blue unicyclist, long-leggedy Uncle Sam, and flag-waving bystanders are doing the same things we do on July 4th in the 21st century. Some things never change (or change ever so subtly), which is quite comforting.
